ImproLANDS stands for Improvisational Theatre Techniques for Well-Being in Lands Affected by Natural Disasters, Depopulation and/or Solitude. This documentary is a reportage and a collection of testimonies collected during a 22-month European Cooperation Project, funded by the CreativeEurope Programme, to shed light on four targeted inland areas in Greece, Italy, Spain and Romania while engaging local communities and create cultural encounters through the methodology of improvisational theatre techniques. The documentary montage uses professional footage from video operators and participative medias recorded by the community members that took part to the workshops with phones and amateur cameras.
Following this first screening of the documentary, a Q&A will be held with the contributors of the filming and discussion about rural depopulation, isolation and the power of encounter and arts.
