And when that moment comes,

which you probably never expected for you to happen, then what?

What does fighting for your life mean? Fighting against time?

How do you fight for your life?

This work is not a story that someone imagined. You can also view it as a documentary. A documentary written on the female body. But the camera doesn’t stop there, it enters the mind, recording thoughts. It enters the guts, recording sensations and feelings.

This woman is a wife, a mother, a worker. She is a friend. She is a daughter and a sister. This woman, who suddenly loses her breast to cancer, lives in her bed and takes vacations in the living room. She goes for walks, strolls around town. She throws off her burdens. She feels free.

This woman is not ashamed to laugh mercilessly at the crazy things happening around her, above her, inside her. She is not ashamed to cry. This woman goes to war and will not allow anyone to write her prologue.

A woman with only one breast. A mother, like all the others, you know…the ones who never get sick.

At critical turns in life, we change – only if we allow ourselves. This woman is changing. She is moving forward.

This work is about all the people who have felt a loss at some point in their lives. Even more so, it is about the people who believed they would never feel it.
