A theatrical performance with documentary elements, a show entirely dedicated to the human brain.

Memory. Memory loss. The role of memory in human identity, in the human soul. This is the focus of the performance we are creating. We explore the man who withdraws from his memory. We record him, analyze him, explore him in depth with scientific, emotional, poetic and unexpectedly humorous wizards. Memory. The core of existence with multifaceted interpretive perspectives and implications. Who am I? The observer? The narrator? The scientist? The companion? Who is the person who accompanied me and continues to accompany me? A dance of narrators investigates, questions, testifies, tries to put words to their experiences and observations. They take on roles and return to the present and the past to continue. The aim of the performance is to question the joints of memory. To discover what it means: “Everything was going well until…”. What does “well” mean? At what exact moment did ‘well’ change? What does “until…” mean? We focus on the small things to question the big things. We make the everyday conscious. We experience what memory is, what its “absence” signifies. We wake up to the absence. To “something is wrong.” Is it memory that makes us who we are? Do we exist without memory and in which way? The challenge of the performance is freedom on stage: to give space to the random aspects of life so that the event can take place, the event that will bring back a deeper memory in us and in the audience. The event will bring back the deep memory. That is what we will strive for.
