06 Aug MPART 12 FESTIVAL – Program Announcement
The 12th edition of MPART festival (EXIT) is coming in Larissa this September with a fresh look and new venues!
Having entered a new phase of redefinition, where the opportunity for departure and change is synonymous with freedom and rebirth, the Mill of Performing Arts Festival “condenses” its name to MPART and announces the groups and productions that will be hosted at this year’s 12th edition from 5 to 21 September 2025 at the new SYNERGEIO Culture Space and at selected public spaces in Larissa.
The theme EXIT reflects the need to break out of the narrow confinements that prevent us to see new, clear horizons and try an alternative, decentralised approach to everything. Our inspiration is the countryside, the villages, but also the escape from anything metropolitan.
The organizers of the 12th MPart, after issuing an open call to artists and groups, they create this year’s program highlighting decentralization and representation of the Greek provinces, including also interesting, contemporary proposals from abroad and Athens.
During the festival, the first meeting of theatre companies and performing arts groups from the Greek provinces will take place, with participants from Thessaly, the Aegean islands, Crete, the Peloponnese and other places.
The program includes theatre, dance, object theatre, music performances, and contemporary performances, short films, workshops in the performing arts and a theatre residency.
