The new production of the STEREO NERO DANCE CO. is a journey into Japanese myths and stories, starring spooky creatures who seduce with their beauty and mysterious form. These creatures are female figures and constructions of the imagination that balances between eroticism and horror but also strange supernatural presences – apparitions, ghosts, demons, strange animals and spirits of nature. Figures sometimes scary, sometimes melancholic and sometimes comic, but always paradoxical and fascinating, introduce us to a world in which the supernatural element is intertwined with the natural landscape.

Few words about the company:

The company aims to create a kinetic language that develops in the light of the contradictions that generally exist in our daily lives and extend to all aspects of reality, while researching the embodiment of our social experience and the influence of contrasts in it. Through folklore and collective memory but also by searching the boundaries of popular and pop, the group creates stories and universes that are balancing between the conscious and the unconscious and aim at communicating a world where the “sacred” and the “unholy” are in dialogue and are inherent in each other.
