20 Aug MPArt 11 programme announcement
One month is left until the opening of this year’s 11th edition of Mill of Performing Arts – PARALLEL, the annual festival for the performing arts co-organised by Synergy of Music Theatre and the Municipality of Larissa’s Department of Culture, with the support of the Greek Ministry of Culture.
This year, MPArt will take place from 20 to 29 September 2024. The theme chosen for 2024 is PARALLEL, with the focus shifting from Athens to the Greek periphery, in a context of gathering and meeting groups and artists active outside the capital city and establishing a dialogue between them.
This year’s programme focuses on contemporary performing arts and includes performances of theatre, dance and dance theatre, puppetry, contemporary circus from Greece and Europe (4 of which represent troupes and groups from the periphery), screenings, workshops, a multi-day inclusive residency with Vasiliki Bara, as well as a workshop dedicated to the artistic groups of the Greek periphery and the challenges they face.
