06 Aug Open Call for Participation in the SOLAR Intensive Workshop – Residency and Performance by En Dynamei
What allows us to seek, to claim, and to offer something to life?
As part of the 13th MPArt Festival, En Dynamei, under the guidance of Aris Papadopoulos and Vittoria Kotsalou, will lead a four-day intensive dance workshop from 23 to 26 September 2026. The workshop is open to people with and without disabilities and welcomes participants of all levels of experience.
The workshop is based on the practices and performance score of SOLAR, a dance work created by En Dynamei and Vittoria Kotsalou, which premiered at the M–power Festival of the Onassis Stegi in 2023.
Together with the participants, we will explore the artistic practices that shaped SOLAR as a way of expanding our experience of the body. Through dance, we will investigate how deeper sensations, memories and needs emerge—those essential elements that nourish a broader, more inclusive experience of the present.
SOLAR creates a space for both collective and personal exploration: a shared ground where coexistence and the acceptance of the other, the different, the unfamiliar and the unknown become possible. It is a collective artistic inquiry into how acceptance shapes our lives, our relationships and our sense of well-being—and how these, in turn, shape our capacity to accept.
The workshop will take place from 23 to 26 September, culminating in the SOLAR performance on 27 September, which will include participants from the workshop alongside the En Dynamei team.
The workshop is open to people with and without disabilities, regardless of age or previous artistic experience. Participation is free of charge. As places are limited, early registration is encouraged.
