The Synergy of Music Theatre (SMouTh) and the MPArt Festival invite, for the second consecutive year, representatives of performing arts groups active in the Greek regions to a three-day networking and strategic planning meeting. The first meeting, held last year as part of the 12th MPArt Festival, marked the first step in an effort that continued through systematic communication, online meetings, and activities both within and beyond the festival.

This year’s meeting will open on Friday, September 18, with a presentation of the co-production RIZITIKO-REload by MPArt and Scarmi & ANTIVARO Theatre groups from Rethymno. The co-production initiative seeks to provide practical support for collaboration between regional groups and festivals, as well as for the circulation of their productions.

On Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, the meeting will continue with two main objectives. In the mornings, representatives will take part in an open forum aimed at expanding the mapping and networking of groups, strengthening their visibility, and developing joint initiatives to support, exchange, and collaborate with one another. Part of the discussion will focus on accessibility and inclusion in the performing arts, as well as on audience development among people with diverse social and age profiles.

In the evenings, participants will have the opportunity to discover each other’s work by attending workshops and productions by groups from different regions of Greece, including Thessaly, the Cyclades, and Epirus.

We look forward to meeting old friends and collaborators again, as well as getting to know new ones this September, and to strengthening together this platform for the visibility, empowerment, and creation of opportunities for performing arts groups in the Greek regions.

Participation in the meeting is free of charge. The MPArt Festival will cover travel and accommodation expenses for one representative of each group wishing to participate.

Please express your interest in participating in the 2nd Gathering of Performing Arts Companies and Collectives from the Greek Regions by emailing info@smouth.com by August 24.
